X 80 min. / CD = 10,760 samples dropped or interpolated over the length of a CD. 10,760 samples / 44,100 samples / sec = 0.24 sec starting delay to half fill a FIFO buffer 0.53 sec. for 96,000 samples sec. I could live with that.
