I once heard of an audiophile (with way too much money) following the
sage advice of his audio pusher.  He had run his $1,000+ speaker cables
under the rug for some distance.  "No good" said his guru.  He had to
buy some sort of supports for his cables to get them off the ground away
from the rug.  Well, at least now I know someone who makes them.  ;-)
