But if Naim did choose to use Normal accuacy as their guide, and chose
the 10 clock spacings you suggest, that's all the clocks used up for one
data rate - lets say 44.1. At least 9 of them must be wrong, and there
are no clocks left for all the other data rates the DAC supports 32, 48,
96 etc.. And if clocks are switched between to keep the buffer from
over/underflow, then that is a form of jitter.

Still can't see the point of transferring data from a hard-drive to a
DAC by using s/pdif, especially when the DAC in question has, by design,
a buffer. Why not just fill the buffer via ethernet or wireless, much as
Logitech and Linn do, then use exactly the right clock to D-A it.
