> experience of improved sound quality cannot be reliably measured. Yes of course it can't thats a given.
But that is not what a/b abxor dbt is measuring at all, can we please stop having the missunderstanding that we are trying to measure subjektive sound quality. It measures if you -realy- can tell a from b or b from a no more no less. The question is simply is this a or b when presented with x ? reapeted enough times so that you can do away with chance and other randomness. If you can tell that a is different from b . then you can asses it's improved soundquality if it is an improvement ( next problem ) lets not forget that human bias works both ways, abx can probably cure a ingrained sceptic like me in cases where I imagine that there is no difference but in reality it is a difference. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
