In my experience, if AudioLense says that there is a delay of 1.6ms on
one channel then the distance from mic to that speaker is indeed 54cm
greater than the distance to the other speaker...

IF your mic is working properly (see other posts) its orientation
should not matter at all - it is an "omni" mic.

There is no "phase" involved in any of this, only sound pressure level
and distance.
