It is quite ironic that it seems impossible for a subjective audiophile to admit there is even a possibility of subjective influence on his perception. It is interesting that even in nuclear and particle physics research -- about as pure science-based as a subject can get -- they use blind analysis techniques to keep observer bias from skewing the results. Like it or not, audiophiles are still human and are just as subject to subconscious influence as physicists and other ordinary mortals. No one is "shouting down" the conversion. In fact, airing multiple views of a subject is exactly the opposite. It expands the conversation. Conversely, discussions are truly shut down when only the talking points of the approved party line are permitted a voice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mlsstl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9598 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96407 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
