Yes it does ..

mount -o remount,mod:/real_root=rw /
mount: / not mounted already, or bad option

I think that is logical since neither /real_root nor /union exists or is 
accessable since I run-init into the unified filesystems .. isnt there 
another possibility? Right now I boot another kernel, adapt the stuff I 
need, then boot my aufs/unionfs kernel again .. but tho thats quite 
contra productive imho..
