Hi All,

The answers simple. Just train pilots that after extending full dive brakes, retract the handle slightly, 10 mm is enough.

Harry,

We all know that. Problem is in the heat of the moment people forget. Not surprising with amateur weekend pilots and even a problem for professionals who fly nearly every day. Good interface design will remind them to do the right thing at critical points. A lot of effort is spent in modern aircraft cockpit design to do this.
