If the items of type Item are not on hand then a planned Purchase order will be generated and if the item has a lead time then it will get a futures date which will be considered by production scheduling.

If the sub components of the production BOM are all on hand then it has no impact on the scheduling, but if some items are not on hand and a planned order has been made for those items, then the scheduling will start from the Futures date of the planned orders. Hope this answers your questions, otherwise look in the help file for the Job scheduling form where it is explained pretty good. Coz My gant chart should capture the lead time for procurement of the subcontracted item when I schedule the jobs. Instead, it schedules the first operation instantly after the second operation. There is something called finite material and finite capacity planing. Where do i select the checkbox for finite material planning. Please suggest. -- With Regards, Mr. Vishtaspa Sethna Associate E.R.P. Consultant Godrej Infotech Ltd. Cell: +919718010823 -- With Regards, Mr. Vishtaspa Sethna Associate E.R.P.
