Strong opinions in either direction there, the point being, there are strong
opinions. Were there no nag screen this would not be an issue.
I think the real question here, do you really think BB saw a spike in sales
as a result of the nag code implementation?
I never have felt any of this anti-piracy stuff does anything more than bug
the legit users. Pirated software is not directly related to a lost sale.
We are all legit users here, I would bet no one would be willing to
circumvent the nag screen, I would also bet, there are many a tutorial out
there to show you how to block those packets from any app. Those who want
to get past this will, in the end, it only aggravates us legitimate users.
I may even go as far as thinking it only invigorates the cracker, its a new
challenge, one they will no doubt break in short order.
