Far be it for me to stomp on anyone's prefered mail tool.  I use pine on
my isp as a matter of fact, but I do have one question I would ask Betsy
before recommending pcpine as a solution.  How savy are your front-line
service providers?  I ask only because I have found pine to be somewhat
less than user-friendly when any custom configuration is needed.  If your
help desk people are sharp and aren't afraid of text-only interfaces, you
may be ok; otherwise you may end up scarring them for life.

Personally, I have been using mahogany on both windows and linux.  If the
development were still moving forward, and there were a chance of seeing
ldap integration sometime in my lifespan, I would be recommending it a lot
more highly.

On the other hand, lotus has made available a new cli interface for
something called notes.  If they put a gui on it, I can see that taking
off in a big way. 8-)
