Didn't make any difference.

Running out of ideas, I tried upgrading ActiveState Perl to the latest version. 
 I just upgraded from ActivePerl-5.8.8.819-MSWin32-x86-267479.msi to 
ActivePerl-5.8.8.820-MSWin32-x86-274739.msi, and now when I run the web UI in 
Internet Explorer, it crashes perl.exe.
