Oh, I can feel the difference all right. I just don't like fixing 
flats. On a short ride, the time fixing the flat is just made up by 
the greater speed with more supple tires. But at least your hands 
don't get all dirty and greasy when you ride Marathons. :-)

Anyhow, I'm mostly a very slow unloaded tourist these days, so 
Schwalbes are my tires. But when I get on the single-speed with its 
Grand Bois (silly name?) tires, it makes me feel faster than I really 
am.
