I would agree most emphatically with Willem on this. Don't try to save money on tires. One difference that I note, however, is that most people on this list (and on others) like Paselas. Maybe it's just my bad luck, but I have had nothing but trouble with the ones I've used. In the past 10 years, I've had just one flat with Schwalbes, maybe two with Continental tires, and at least 10 with Paselas. (Haven't kept track of the mileage, but certainly 15000+, and the most part of that on the Contis or Schwalbes.) Gave up on the Paselas a few years ago, and now use nothing but the Continental TT2000s that I'm wearing out, and Schwalbes of various types that are the only tires I'd buy anymore for utility riding and touring. (There is a set of Grand Bois tires on the single-speed. Pricey, and also made by Panasonic!) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Bicycle Lifestyle" group.
