Greetings everyone: What a lovely evening to stroll the Wetland! This will be a quick report. A more detailed one will follow on Sunday.
Two of us saw 5 Virginia Rail chicks. They no longer have the two-toned bill and look quite a bit larger than last week. Although they are still quite small. Andre and I did not see any adults near the chicks. Adult Rails were seen in other parts of the Wetland. An American Bittern landed in the Wetland again. There was also a Spotted Sandpiper. Four American Wigeon were making their approach for the evening as I was leaving. Joan The Wetland is located on the south side of County Road 64 as you leave Brighton. _________________________________________________________________ We are your photos.
