Greetings: Councilor Martinello's agenda was removed again tonight when the
meeting was called to order.
The Wetland presentation went really well -
Ian Shanahan addressed the uniqueness of the place in relation to flora and
fauna.
Doug Mcrae addressed the importance of ecotourism and the positive effect on a
community.
Don Parks addressed the economic bonus birdwatchers add to the community.
I addressed the E coli (with the help of Mary Anne Haynes Directory of
Pathology of the Children's National Medical
Centre in Washington D.C. whose information relating to fecal-oral issues was a
great help. You can't get sick unless
you actually consume raw human waste water.
The Mayor asked what I would like to see at the wetland. I responded with a
properly secured gate
so that only permit holders could access the wetland. I would like to see a
log book too. He agrees!
I was assured by another Councilor that everyone who wants a pass - Go Ahead
and Get one!
