If you are using Windows XP and have a CD drive you should be able to put
a recordable CD in the drive and copy files to it.
Windows has CD burning capability built into it.
As you  read other posts on this list you will realize that there are
other ways to back things up.
What I've outlined is basic back up.
If you want greater insurance against a major failure, you might follow
some of the ideas for a system back up.
