Got it! Sorry I missed that part. So, if I download to a jump drive via the PC I can then unpack it on the Apex, right?
I think the Arizona heat is getting to me!

No, the downloading must happen on a pc. From the pc, you can move the files to a thumb drive, sd card, or whatever storage you want and then
from there onto the apex. The key, though, is that the download
process must take place on a pc.

Hi Alex,
Just want to make sure I understand how you are downloading. Are
you downloading to a PC or to the jump drive on your Apex? I am
trying to do it to a jump drive on my Apex. Maybe I
misunderstood what you said.
Thanks,
Marsha

I do also, 9.1. I have Bookshare set to download zip files,
instead of
bks2 files. While I doubt this will matter, try remaning the
file to
have a .zip extension instead of .bks2 and see if it will unpack
then.

 Hi Alex,
I tried everything again with a book I had not downloaded
previously. I get the same message and error code using my jump
drive. What version of keysoft do you have? I have the latest
on
 my Apex.

Really? That is very odd. Was it a book you had already tried
to
unpack with the bn? If so, try a book you have never unpacked
 before
and see if you get the same result. Also try a reset, then
 unpacking
 either book again.

Any other suggestions? I know I can do it on my laptop if I
have
to, but it's so much faster and convenient on the Apex.

As alex has pointed out, the problem isn't in the Apex's
ability
  to unpack
  the Bookshare files.

The problem is in downloading the books from Bookshare on the
  Apex.

And, yes, it appears the issue is with Bookshare since this
  problem has just
  cropped up.

Is this happening with the mpower too, the problem unpacking
  Bookshare
books. How appalling that is happening. Apexes should have
 the
  ability
to unpack booshare books it's very true!

Marsha Hi, I have been away from the list for a while and hope someone can help with this problem. I have an Apex BT running
  the latest
version of keysoft. Over the past few days I have downloaded
  several
books that I can not unpack.
I get an error message after entering my password. It says,
unable to unpack book error code 9

Also, when I do an I chord for information it shows the file
size around 14 kb and the books I am able to unpack are
usually
  in the
   100's.
I made sure I was downloading the brf books too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
