DEar Paul, Don't give up! Try contacting PDI and work with them directly. I wonder if the problem could be the BN's serial port is designed to be used with a null modem cable. PDI should do what they can to help you make the phone work with the BN.
I'm using Cingular Wireless. I haven't checked recently, but it seemed cell phones with serial cables were on the outs--they weren't selling any phones with cables.
