My take is that Sao Paulo is such a horrible place that anybody living there would spend every leisure moment in Rio [50 minutes by plane, plus 1 hour of traffic here and 2 hours of traffic there]. I didn't get the lesbian point, but really Sao Paulo has much more gay-bashing idiots than Rio.
