You can claim this all you want.  But the timing
belies it.  The 9/01 military had not even begun to
bear Rumsfeld's stamp on it, after just six months. 
Moreover the rush operation allowed no time for
interference by political animals.

Above all, the method of special forces interaction
with locals while guiding in pinpoint ordnance was
developed in the Balkans by Gen Wesley Clarke.  

In fact the whole operation in AFGH had been planned
under Clinton. WHY DO YOU THINK THE TALIBAN SACRIFICED
A DOZEN SUICIDE KILLERS TO SLAY MAHOUD JUST BEFORE
9/11?   Because they knew a plan was already in place
that revolved around him and the Northern Alliance.

Their mistake was to assume lack of resiliency on the
part of their enemies.  A mistake made repeatedly by
those who imagine they can strike at the US and cause
panic.
