Likening all democrats to Michael Moore is like likening all republicans to Howard Hunt and Gordon Liddy. It stinks. Only Moore at least piles up tons of interesting things on one side of the table. Not all of it is high quality and his inflamatory conspiracy theories only hurt his case. But watching GWB sit like a pole-axed calf for 7 minutes, then go back to reading a children's story, instead of taking command when the 9/11 news came... Jesus. Fact is, our airwaves throng and hum with hundreds of right wing Michael Moores. You loathe him? Multiply that a hundred times with the propagandists slaving away for Rupert Murdoch. At least Moore has guts. > > Americans who want other Americans to die at the > hands > of their enemies - I call them traitors. Go ahead. I don't disagree. I also find your interpretation of ambiguous language tendentious. What do > you > think about them, Doug? You served in the military > - > how can you _live_ with yourself knowing that you're > on his side. Oh, bugger off. John Kerry killed people with his bare hands to save comrades and to serve his flag. He saw war crimes. He had the guts to come home and decry them and warn that his country had fallen into a trap. Those are all patriotic in the direction you claim to like, yet you will find excuses to disparage them. I NEVER did that. But you guys will. I always honored Ronald Reagan for his core patriotism, for example, I revered Barry Goldwater (who despised the Clinton witch hunts, by the way.) Everything you say is suspect because it is so predictably along party lines. Can't you even notice that and feel sheepish about that? MY SIDE MY SIDE MY SIDE!!!!!!!!! Yesterday a few house republicans had the guts to stand up and try to reverse some of the most horribly Orwellian aspects of the Patriot Act. They were immolated by their "side". He wants your (former) > comrades-in-arms > to _die_. I still might be going to Iraq later this > summer, in which case I guess he _still_ wants me to > die. Judging by this list, that wouldn't bother > most > of the people on it. But I would hope that > expressing > such a wish about those who are faithfully serving > their country would put someone beyond the pale. Oh wrap yourself in the bloody flag, sure. But it;s all a distraction. We are talking policy here and these cretins have the policy of hurling good boys to war based on lies. > > I have occassionally commented about the level of > hatred that you espouse for those who disagree with > you as why I'm reluctant to discuss these things > with > you. But > I > didn't hate Bill Clinton, and I can't imagine hating > anyone so much that I'd line up with a traitor like > Michael Moore Nu? You line up with a traitor like Gordon Liddy... who was proved a traitor in a court of law. - line up with my an enemy of my > country. If you rejoined the Navy, Doug, just > remember that by attending that movie you > contributed > money to someone who would want you dead. This is unworthy of you Gautam. In any event, Moore would never get away with such a film if the country weren't brimming with people just as fed up as Doug & me. _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
