Thanks for looking up the quote, but I cannot accept either interpretation.
It seems to unambiguously promote the idea of American blood guilt that can
only be paid for with American blood.  In short, since Americans supported
the war; the only way they can obtain forgiveness for this evil is for
justice to be served by them losing their children too.

What is ironic to me is that I think Michael Moore isn't really lying here;
any more than Bush et. al. lied about "knowing" about all the WMD that was
in Iraq...or about Iraq having strong connections to AQ.  I hold both
responsible for not facing facts; but I think that both stated their honest
opinion.
