Well, that is quite much! But what is the connection from a gram (per liter) of priming sugar to the pressure in the bottle? If I remember right, it produces about 1 liter of CO2 at normal conditions. Then some of that will dissolve in the beer, and some will remain gaseous. This gas will then fill the airspace there is in a beer bottle, with some pressure.
