I would keep it away from the sun, as the UV radiation is unhealthy for
the yeast and for the aromatic stuff in the beer.
Next to a heater is always a good idea.
The fermentation produces heat, so just insulating the bucket will help.
Put in on top of an old camping mattrass, and wrap it in your sleeping
bag.
I know of a guy who used an electric blanket - you know the type old
ladies use to keep warm in the rocking chairs. With three settings (raw
- medium - well done. just kidding).
Maybe an old-fashioned hot water bottle, or a more modern imitation
could do the job.
It may be a bit tricky to maintain exactly the right temperature with
some of these methods, but don't worry,
it will be beer anyway
