Maybe I'm missing something about Eclipse, but when I create a project for CakePHP (which seems to be a requirement in this discussion) I get inordinate bloat in the project explorer. Is there a workaround for this? How do people tolerate such a mess, given that one of the basic things you use an IDE for is project management? I would love to know, because otherwise, I think Eclipse is a fairly attractive alternative for the other noted features.
