I am not able to be as specific as Anne. It looks as if we will be leaving Bancroft Basin as she is getting there. I will alert my group to the possibility of a mini-GIG and hope we can work something out. Our whereabouts depends on how efficient we are learning the locking system. (I can hardly wait to get my hands on my Nicholsons which is still in the marina shop at Kate Boats Warwick.)
Another question - I hope you think it isn't a dumb one. The Hatton Locks are wide ones aren't they? Won't we be able to got through them together? Our boats are short as narrowboats go. Rebecca is only 47 ft long. Marie Claire is not much longer - as I recall. I have printed out how to work the paddles if one boat is in the lock.
