Uncle Mort has been there once. I had no idea about any requirement to moor "stern on" and went straight in with the pointy end. I do the same every time (dozens) in Gloucester Docks and it never occurred to me to do the difficult thing. However Mr Tether did decide to do it the hard way a couple of years back - and made a very good job of it. I hope many people saw the manoevre and thought it was me ! Captain Beeky
