We've been there twice, and both times moored fore end on, as do 
many others. If there is a stern on rule, I'm not aware of it. I do 
find being fore end to the bank more socialble, as long as you don't 
mind a little interaction with the tourists!

And in response to an earlier posting, anyone can use the mooring, 
on a first come basis. No charge.
