IIRC this is absolutely correct.   Th only way to be officially legal 
was to have the tuner disconnected.   However with freeview boxes etc 
connected via the scart that may not be enough unless you can prove not 
owninga freeview box.

To be honest i'd have thought that would give better quality anyway.

Ifind it hard to beklive it's worth their while to prosecute!
