OK, I have set up a demo on iPath for those intersted in a digital
camera-to-care2x interface.

To start, you need to register on our server at University of Basel.
goto http://telepath.patho.unibas.ch/ and follow to registration. When
you're done, send me the username that you have chosen and I will put
you into the demo group (in iPath, everything works in groups ...). I'll
send you an email, once you are in that group

Step 2: Download the client-application (for MS-Win + VfW). you can find
them at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=27616
Note: these are alpha releases, be carefull. The most simple is:
- tpdb_connector.zip
(borland c++ application simply uploading images)
- iPath-Microscope-0.6.9-setup.exe
(MS-visual C++ including microscope remote control. This
is the current version, but it has a lot of options and
   no documentation ....)
Try the first, if you can select a video stream, you are fine. If not,
you can try the second. If you can configure the video part, let me
know, and I'll send you the other config options.

On the sf site, there is also a iPath-Microscope-manual.pdf -- simply
skip all the parts about configuring a microscope. The only buttons that
we will need are "connect" and "capture image".

But first, get registered on the server and I hope that by Tuesday i
have organised a camera for myself, so I can test myself :-)

regards & don't hesitate to contact me for questions

Kurt
