> A final word: why name it fossfa? Simply, because our effort will not be that of one individual, but a group - btw: FOSSFA = Free and Open Source Software Foundation of Africa (www.fossfa.org).

FOSSFA is not paying no one anything, it is simply an joint group of many F/OSS people in Africa. Also note, that none of us is (currently) paid for making adaptations in care2x. Our intention doind this is that care2x would be an ideal show case demonstrating the importance of F/OSS in Africa - maybe to convince some governments to consider F/OSS. In Africa we are currently very concerned about contract that a number of our governents are currently signing with Microsoft - these contracts seem to have clauses that will later prevent the use of any non-M$ software by the same governments! However, if branching on the care2x repository is such an issue, I would anyway suggest that at FOSSFA we use our own CVS repository. best greards Kurt -- ---------------------------------------------------------------- Kurt Brauchli-Haase Telemedicine Unit, University of Transkei Umtata, South Africa tel: +27 47 502 2914 ---------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
