To prevent security problems, the client-application will be loggin in
to the care2x server in the same way as a user over the web interface.
Once logged-in, it can be used to send images to patient-files by
drag&drop, but using the same file-upload protocol as you'd use from
your web-browser. So I do not really see that this has  different
security problems then sending via web-broswer, it is only faster ...

And for chosing the right patient to store the images, this is in the
hands of the operator (nurse/doctor) anyway. The camera cannot know the
patient anyway ;-)
