You don't need a seahood to have a good fastening point for a dodger.  You can 
put a stainless steel bar over the main hatch and attach the dodger to it.  
That's what we did.  It's strong enough for a 300 pound man to do chinups on 
it.  We don't need a seahood with the dodger (but of course we're not venturing 
out in bad storms.)
