Gruss, You've logic doesn't flow and none of it has anything to do with an MBA -- which is about as far away from the factory floor as you can get.
Your first statement starts at the self-evident and moves quickly to fallacies. Growth doesn't always take time, but does take a market and distribution mechanism. Some very successful CEO's can only manage businesses at certain stages, and success doesn't always equate to size or growth. And while your examples of successful leaders is solid, you don't understand the problems with Skilling. The problem wasn't with the paradigm, it was with his ethics. And just cause you back a paradigm that doesn't succeed doesn't make you a bad CEO. Most experiments fail. What school did you get your MBA from? The best CEOs are the ones that know the business, understand that growth takes time and partnerships, and can manage at each stage. That usually means the guys who started the business with one lathe and then grew it into a billion dollar company. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| The annual ColdFusion User Conference is being held Sat 6/26 - Sun 6/27/04 8am-5pm in the Washington DC Area. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=44 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:133445 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
