and you were *not* misunderstood - I tried to make very clear that Sandy's brother, my neighbor, etc. are not indicative of ALL Christianity. I emphasized that they are an extreme "sect" of Christianity but do not ACT like Christians. You didn't hurt or offend me. I just got frustrated trying to get a point across to you. I hope you see from this reply that I *do* understand your point. When you say you are a Catholic, I automatically *exclude* you from the Falwell et al group in my mind, since I have never known a Catholic to do the things these extreme groups do. I think I and several others were expressing our concern that the extremists were getting too much attention and political power, and endangering us all with their attitudes towards "freedom".
