I see that now. I guess I let my own bias get the best of me. As you said before, the media highlights those people so much that I get so frustrated because most of us aren't like that but end up getting lumped into the same category. I guess it's actually funny because we were essentially arguing the same point against one another. Thanks for the response and for squaring things away.

I emphasized that they are an extreme "sect" of Christianity but do not ACT like Christians. You didn't hurt or offend me. I just got frustrated trying to get a point across to you. I hope you see from this reply that I *do* understand your point. When you say you are a Catholic, I automatically *exclude* you from the Falwell et al group in my mind, since I have never known a Catholic to do the things these extreme groups do. I think I and several others were expressing our concern that the extremists were getting too much attention and political power, and endangering us all with their attitudes towards "freedom". Hope this helps. -Ben -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, January 28, 2002 1:23 PM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Church and State <cf_defeated> Alright, this is the last thing I'll say on this. I have only been trying to make one point and have seemed to fail horribly at it. As the Taliban are not indicative of Islam, the Christian fundamentalists like Robertson, Falwell, Ben's neighbor or Sandy's brother are not indicative of Christianity. That's all I've been trying to say. Sorry for hurting or offending anyone. Michael Corrigan Programmer Endora Digital Solutions 1900 S.
