Same here.  Spend the money on intelligence and homeland security.
9/11 happened because we *HAD* no homeland security, and our
intelligence was crap.

I see two sorts of problems in Iraq.

#1 - those that are caused by us being there.
#2 - Those that are not caused by us being there.

#1 is easily fixed by withdrawal.
#2 is not our problem to solve.

The cost of this war cannot ONLY be measured in American lives.  I
don't care if we kill the terrorists, or how many.  That's a good
thing.

But in fact thousands upon thousands of Iraqi's - most of them
innocent bystanders or actually trying to help - those death's are
important too.

The "liberal media" said back in October that over 600,000 Iraqi's
have died in this conflict.

A more conservative estimate at http://www.iraqbodycount.org/ puts the
current count somewhere around 10% of that, or 65,000 iraqi civilians.

Either way... that's a lot of human life, and you can bet that most of
those 65,000 or 650,000 people were not fighting us.
