Bush Doctrine. Barricade foreign troops in a "green zone", attempt to provide security, wait for politicians to solve the problem. (2.) Biden Doctrine. Create 3 self-governing regions, one for each faction, and leave. So there you have it. That's the best we've got. Robert believes in betting our military that a non-Muslim, non-Arab western military force can solve a 1500 year old war by creating a 12 mile secure zone and letting local politicians (the ones that aren't killed yet) work it out.
