The assessment that he's a politician or that he's obscured the facts about his religious mentor with rhetoric? I think both are correct and reading the transcript of his "well, I reject what I heard but I wasn't there that day" explanation brings both to light for me. I totally admit that he's a powerful speaker and can raise the hopes and feelings of people with how he says things but its what he says sometimes that worries me. There's a simple test that should be applied to him and any politician. If he was a different race, religion and/or gender and says what he says or supports what he supports, how would you feel?
