Well, I partially agree with you - Obama's positions as stated are
about 20% more liberal than I'm comfortable with.

That having been said I think we should take a look at the current
President's success on foreign and Domestic policy

Middle East Pre & Post Bush
-------------------------------------------
Pre: no real "non-state" players, Iran/Iraq power balance, but the
usual problems.

Post: The Quad-alliance of Iraq, Syria, Hamas, and Hezbollah at
unprecendented levels of strength and influence. A cowed Israel. A
strong Iran. And open (and appropriate) questions about whether the
beginning of the end is here for American presence in the Middle East.
All of this didn't just happen on it's own; it's a direct product of
the Iraq war. Period. Bush policy has weakened the US position in
the Middle East to unprecented weak levels.

Economy Pre & Post Bush
--------------------------------------------
Pre: budget surplus, dropping debt, low inflation, strong dollar,
relative prosperity

Post: That pretty obvious.

CONCLUSION: It would be pretty hard to scare me that anyone can do a
worse job than Bush has in any area you'd care to exchange objective
metrics on.
