But it factually is. Just like euthanasia is about a person's body.

Obviously what makes abortion so thorny is that the possibility of
second person exists; but even so it's still about a woman's body.

Let me give you another controversy about body parts that seems
totally unrelated (but is ;)

Let's say you find out you have lethal disease X and wind up in a
specialists office at the local University hospital. He treats you
and, beating the odds, you survive just fine.

A few months later the doctor says he'd like to see you again and run
you through the routine blood tests, etc to ensure you're still
disease free.

You accept.

He asks you to come back every 3 months for the same tests and you do.

Then 5 years later the University of YourState releases a new drug on
the market that has drastically high efficacy rates on YOUR DISEASE!

You wonder if the drug would help you, etc, so you call the hospital.
In an informal conversation you discover the hospital had used your
tissues to develop the therapy - the gene therapy. Upon further
research you discover that your genes are now being sold to treat this
disease, including to terrorist supporting countries.

You inform the university you will no longer be showing up for
"checkups". They send you a court order stating that your tissues
belong to them per your treatment agreement and that you will comply
voluntarily or they will take your tissue by force.

That your refusal to surrender your tissue is theft since it's their property.

What d'ya think? Sound fair to you?
