LOL, you are a true sucker for that populist line. "The unions" - the fat
cats running the show for the unions - no better represent the interests of
the workers than the management of the companies where they work.
Incompetent, self-interested union leadership played a fundamental role in
the destruction of the U.S. auto industry. Rather than focus on helping keep
the industry strong for present and future generations of workers, they bled
the companies for every nickel they could squeeze out of them, protecting
current workers (and their own positions) at the cost of future problems.

Those future problems are now present problems. Obama just essentially fired
RIck Wagoner, even if that's not what the press release says. So what about
firing the incompetent union leadership? You know who will get screwed if
the industry goes under. The workers. So where is the call for
accountability by union leadership?
