How do you use your GMail, Outlook, and IPhone?
I am using Outlook 2007 and IPhone 2.2.1.
What I am curious is how I can effectively use all three and keep them in sync.
I use Outlook 2007 @ Home and want to make sure that I keep a copy of emails
there. If I delete from my IPhone using POP, the emails can still be downloaded
to Outlook and GMail.
So I guess what I am looking for is a way to keep email in Outlook (folder
structure and all), and have the emails in GMail (labels and all I guess), but
on the phone only want to keep x number of days.
My thought is this:
Setup Outlook for IMAP to the Mail Server.
Setup GMail to connect via IMAP to the Mail Server.
Setup IPhone to connect via IMAP to the Mail Server.
Setup rule in Outlook to move messages to a Local PST file after x number of
days.
-- By creating this rule, outlook would have ALL the emails and it would help
keep GMail and IPhone clean of old emails (unless I have a folder that is
labelled "KEEP"). I could set the rule not to filter that folder.
Just wondering everyone elses thoughts as well as how they use a combination of
GMail, Outlook, and their mobile device.
