tooo funny, i just made this conversion last week.
i still have my outlook and exchange linked up, and my
iphone getting calendar events from it (work stuff) and
contacts, but email is all pop'd from gmail interface.

nice method, no more outlook chains on my feet
and i just feel overall better :)
