I have no particular comment on this story itself, but out of
curiosity, do other people find it offensive when people wear the
flag? I was taught, growing up, that the flag wasn't a symbol to be
idly used and thrown away. I went through cub scouts and got taught
how to properly fold a flag, keep it from dragging on the ground, not
let a tattered and worn flag keep flying, give it a proper disposal
when it got into a sorry state, etc.

I've found it very weird as an adult to see all these people wearing
flag clothing, putting on flag lapel pins, putting flag magnets on
their car, etc. It just seems...cheap I guess.
