I think the deal with the Ball is financial in nature between FIFA and
ADIDAS.

I don't see any credible reason for introducing a new ball with completely
new dynamics so close to the start of these last worldcups.

>From a player perspective consider Muscle Memory. For FOUR YEARS you have
trained your body to react to the ball in a certain way. Now suddenly in a
month or so before the start of the worldcup you are supposed to unlearn all
that? Impossible.

And it is the great players that would have their touches on the ball down
to a such a fine art. So it is the best players that would be affected the
most. Those players that spend days on end practicing free kicks and set
plays so that it becomes second nature. Suddenly that second nature and what
comes naturally is all wrong.

I did not support the change to the ball the last worldcup, and certainly do
not support it in this one.

I hope FIFA stops the practice and either introduce the new ball years in
advance, or not at all.
