That's a no brainer, because OS X is a "walled garden" -- they've sued the crap out of anybody who tries to make something that will run their software. I'd call that more "asshole-ish" than "versatile". :) Luckily it looks like folks have finally figured a way to run OS X in a VM without needing apple hardware, and have done it in a way that protects them from the army of Apple lawyers. Apple is a pretty scary company, ya know?
