I'm curious too because the wife has all the ebooks and I want a reader or
tablet that she can read amazon, borders, barnes all the different versions
in one spot. Will one of these readers do that because right now my laptop I
have the 3 software packs to open those books. If I have to get one of those
2lb 10" laptops to cure this I would but I'd like to get a small tablet to
do it. I've seen someone using the blackberry and opening pdf's, powerpoint,
etc and it was a 7". I don't know the OS but the guy loves it and checks his
email through the web on it.

I looked at the Kindles.. the small version (similar to the Nook) and the
DX. DX size all the same. The smaller version, like the Nook, was just too
small for me.

+1. All my textbooks for school are PDF. I typically will rotate the
Kindle to 'landscape' to be able to read small text..stupid old eyes.

For what it was designed for....an eBook reader...it is a great device. If
you need to do more, its not for you.

Jacob the Nook might be a better choice - assuming you do not need a big
screen.
