The only real issue with voter id is that its a fake issue, intended to give the republicans a way of suppressing the vote of those who are most likely to vote against the Republican party. In 2008 for instance of the 110 million votes cast, there were 8, yes 8 cases of voter fraud, or 0.000007272727% of all votes cast were fraudulent.
